We are so glad you have chosen to visit our website. We would love to meet you. Come on in no matter the time. Here is some information you might find helpful:
Our gathering place is in the little old church building in Pine Grove next to the Pine Grove Elementary school. Wood pews, wood floors and a creaky front door is what you'll find when you step into the building.
You'll see a mix of jeans, skirts, dresses, shorts, and puffy jackets (depending on the season), come as you are.
We stick to biblically honoring lyrics typically in hymns, updated hymns and some contemporary artists. We have a lead guitarist, a keyboard, some strings and some beautiful voices. Come sing with us!
Our service itself consists of a few pieces - Announcements, Call to Worship, Music, Corporate prayer/Scripture reading, Sermon, Communion, and Benediction.
Fellowship and Treats
At the end of every service we enjoy freshly brewed coffee and some kind of yummy treat prepared by someone from the Church. The kids (no matter the age) tend to run in and outside, up and downstairs, and the adults and older teens tend to gather and chat, getting to know one another and sharing life with each other.
Here at Pillar, we love families! We also love all kinds of people, whether you are here on your own or with a gaggle, whether you wish you were on your own or wish you were with a gaggle. If you do have a child or children, know that we have been there and love you and them! We welcome children to join their parents during every service, or families are welcome to take part in our Children's and Nursery ministries.
We have Family Service once a month where children and families are welcome to sit together the entirety of the service. We believe it is a treasure to teach our children to enjoy a full worship service experience alongside their parents. We also have a nursery open for use (unstaffed for Family Service) and a 'Cry Room' for nursing babies' or diaper changes. Each of these places is set up with a system to continue to hear the preaching.
We love to serve one another, please ask whatever questions come to mind, we are happy to help.
